Bike-Friendly Businesses

What is a Bike-Friendly Business?

Have you ever been out on a long ride and wanted to stop at a business to fill up your water bottle, but you weren’’t sure if they’’d frown upon the idea of you taking free water? Or, have you been to a hotel with your bike and couldn’’t find a safe place to lock it for the night? To help make the experience great for people riding here in Oregon, Travel Oregon has created the first statewide Bike Friendly Business program in the nation geared towards travelers.

The Oregon Bike Friendly Business program is a recognition and training program designed to help businesses understand what it truly means to welcome cyclists, provide some simple, practical things they can do, and offer to make your bike experience even better. Once officially recognized by the state as bike friendly, businesses will be denoted with a bike friendly icon. Enjoy!
